Every year it happens. I get so angry with parents during the Easter Egg Hunt. I know they love their children and want to make sure they get their share of candy, but do they notice they are being bullies to the other little kids. I mean, how old are they? Parents literally stealing candy from babies. I try to avoid these types of situations, but Taya really wanted to go. I thought I was saved when it rained all morning. The phone rang I was expecting to hear that it was canceled, but they moved it indoors. Okay I'll go! Because it was indoors they split the age groups into different rooms. And because my husband was MIA (hunting) Taya and Reese had to go it alone. I stayed with Dace. I told myself I would just ignore the pushy parents. It wasn't that hard. Outside of a couple of offenders the parent were very cool. Maybe it is different out here in E-Town. Overall it lasted about 5 minutes, the kids were happy, and we have plenty of candy to get sick on.
We had a fun hunt at the lake. Mason was the pushy one- "this is my candy-this is my candy."
ReplyDeletehey nat! thanks for the hello! your kids are adorable. i had no idea you had 4! i totally agree about egg hunts. not to stereotype, but it seems like the dads are the worst offenders. maybe they want good stuff to eat later.
ReplyDeleteI miss the big easter camping trip! but we had a great time out at the fair with my mommy.
