So proud of my kiddos. Quade and Reese have worked so hard to be stellar students. Quade has maintained a 4.0 , and Reese has had a 4.0 for 3 quarters (he had one a minus). They are amazing!

What Have We Been Up To
I have been so busy since Christmas (I will get to the reason in another upcoming post) that I have not had the time to eat or sleep, let alone blog. I have a lot catching up to do on the fam. So, here goea an abridged version.
- Dace turned 7. We had a huge party with a ton of crazy boys at the house. His cake was decorated with his favorite OREOS.
- Dace was able to play the role of a bat in the play Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. He was stink'n cute. He danced and sang his heart out.
- Taya turned 11. She had a late night with her besties. They ate and played just dance on the x-box.
- Dace entered the science fair and took home 2nd place. His investigated the effect of freezing candles on the rate that they burn.
- We had cousins over to the house to celebrate the Easter holiday.
- Taya continues to be a star dancer. She is quite the performer.
- Quade was a member of the Freshman basketball team. He has a lot of fun being involved in athletics. He has made tons of good friends.
- We were able to visit Grandma Ruby. She is 95 years old and still cares for herself.
- Royd was named assistant principal of the year for the state of Utah. We were able to travel to Washington DC and meet with Orrin Hatch and others.
- Taya's dance team performed in the pre-show of a JAZZ game.
- Quade joined the track team. He runs the hurdles and improved every time he ran.
- Quade won the district FCCLA food innovation competition.
MORE UPDATES TO COME
AP of the Year
Royd was announced as the Assistant Principal of the Year for the state of Utah. We couldn't be more proud of him. As part of his award we had the opportunity to visit Washington DC twice this year. The first time we went out it was in February. It was a little rainy and cold for my liking, but we were able to visit a ton on fun places. My favorite was George Washington's home of Mount Vernon.
The second time we went out was in April, and it was beautiful. The cherry blossoms were out and temperatures were perfect. We spend a whole day visiting with senators and congressmen. We were treated like royalty. We attended a black tie gala. It was fun to get all dressed up to go out.
I am very proud of Royd. He deserves this honor and recognition.
