Holy Stink'n Cow

I am part of a Relief Society book Club. It has been tons of fun reading different books. The books that are chosen are not always book I would pick to read. Sometimes I enjoy them, sometimes I don't.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins was this months book. HOLY STINK'N COW!!! It is so good. I started reading it yesterday and could not put it down. It is about the not so distant future (maybe 100-150 years.) How the government has reformed after a disaster. North America is split into 12 districts. To show how much control it has the government takes two children (ages 12-17) from each district to compete in the "Hunger Games". The games are a reality game show like Survivor on steroids. The children are dumped in a remote area with nothing. It is a battle to the death. The game is not over until there is only one left alive.

This book is a must read!

Finding Her Inner Chihuahua

Poor Millie:( Millie is our half Shiz-tsu, half Chihuahua. We call her a Shi- hua-hua (shi-wa-wa). She was in sad shape last week. I hadn't taken her to the groom for a while. It has been so cold in Enterprise, and see loves it out side, so I just let her hair grow. She was a cute little fur ball, even if she was a mess. Well, the other day I said enough was enough. She needed to get a hair cut. Last time we took her to the groomer she came back looking like the Good Luck Dragon from "Never Ending Story" This time we told the groomer NO BEARD, in hopes that she would not look strange.

IT DIDN'T WORK!

When I saw her I thought we had the wrong dog (Danell, I didn't want to take someones dog.) Then I was told it was the only dog there. It had to be her. Royd's comment was "She's gained weight since last time she was shaved." I miss my cute fluffy Millie. She just looks weird. Yes, I know it will grow out, and she is a lot better smelling.

My favorite comment was from Reese. "Don't worry Mom. She is just finding her inner Chihuahua."

I LOVE YOU REESE

My Easter pet PEEVES

Every year it happens. I get so angry with parents during the Easter Egg Hunt. I know they love their children and want to make sure they get their share of candy, but do they notice they are being bullies to the other little kids. I mean, how old are they? Parents literally stealing candy from babies. I try to avoid these types of situations, but Taya really wanted to go. I thought I was saved when it rained all morning. The phone rang I was expecting to hear that it was canceled, but they moved it indoors. Okay I'll go! Because it was indoors they split the age groups into different rooms. And because my husband was MIA (hunting) Taya and Reese had to go it alone. I stayed with Dace. I told myself I would just ignore the pushy parents. It wasn't that hard. Outside of a couple of offenders the parent were very cool. Maybe it is different out here in E-Town. Overall it lasted about 5 minutes, the kids were happy, and we have plenty of candy to get sick on.
Dace was a little confused with his holidays, but it worked!

What do you think?

I have been playing with editing again. Last time I played with the editor I made Ladawna look like she had leporacy. This timeI took an old photo of the kids and twisted it a little. What do you think? Do you like, or is it too weird?
